Tuesdays 6 – 7pm
Free to All
At Bassett Hospital Chapel, 1 Atwell Road Cooperstown NY
We begin with meditation instruction and practice with time for questions and discussion about our experience before moving onto the text we’re reading. This year we will begin by reading and discussing the new book by Pema Chodron, Welcoming the Unwelcome.
Pema Chodron is a well known American Buddhist nun whose gentle and precise way of teaching meditation has inspired many.
Matthew Zalichin has been Rangjung Yeshe Gomde’s resident meditation instructor since 2009. He has studied with Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and is a senior student of Phakchok Rinpoche and Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche. He has also been a friend and student of Pema’s for 40 years and will lead the discussion.
