Introduction to Meditation

This meditation meeting is open to all, beginner and advanced alike, with meditation instruction available on request.  It is an opportunity for all to come together as a virtual group to support each other in meditation and discussing Pema Chodron’s new book,  Welcoming the Unwelcome.

Free to all.

Tuesdays 6 – 7pm.

Meetings on hiatus and resume June 2 as we organize our online Zoom retreats. Registration links will be renewed shortly.

Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness

Although as Buddhists we might want to experience emptiness, for many of us the topic becomes dauntingly intellectual.  In this book, Progressive Stages of Meditation on Emptiness, the contemporary teacher Khenpo Tsultrim Gyamtso Rinpoche presents ways to meditate experientially on the ways the different Buddhist schools present emptiness, which many people find helpful.  We had just concluded a month-long consideration of the Cittamatra view before our hiatus, and are about to move on to Madhyamaka.

Teachings are free but donations are greatly appreciated.

Thursdays 6 – 7:30 pm

Fridays 11am-12:30pm

The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva

We will begin study of Ngulchu Thogme’s well-loved text this coming Sunday, using Dilgo Khyentse Rinpoche’s commentary The Heart of Compassion as a general text, but any translation will be fine if people don’t want to buy a second copy.

Teachings are free but donations are greatly appreciated.

Sundays 11am – 12:30pm

Meetings on hiatus and resume June 7 as we organize our online Zoom retreats. Registration links will be renewed shortly.
